The stage debut began when she portrayed Jeanne d'Arc in a school production. When she was 16, she won the role of the main character in the Munich International Art Lab's first ever Hip Hopera. Traue toured and performed with this production on stages in Germany, Europe as well as New York City for four years. In the following years, Traue appeared in several TV and film productions such as Kleinruppin Forever Berlin am Meer and Phantomschmerz. Traue appeared as the main female in Pandorum the thriller/science-fiction film directed and written by Christian Alvart. It also features Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster.
